Bengals’ Joe Burrow boasts unique NFL QB stat since 2022 that Patrick Mahomes isn’t a part of

Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes are considered two of the best elite NFL quarterbacks, often compared in terms of talents. While Patrick Mahomes often dominates this race, Burrow is equally impressive.

Recently, it was revealed that despite Mahomes winning more Super Bowl Championships, Joe Burrow boasts a unique NFL QB stat that Patrick Mahomes hasn’t aced.

Unique NFL QB stat features Joe Burrow but not Patrick Mahomes

There are a few quarterbacks in the NFL with 50+ touchdowns and 20 or fewer interceptions since 2022. Recently, this unique QB stat was revealed which featured some of the best QBs in the league.

The quarterbacks who have aced this unique stat were the Lions QB Jared Goff, Seahawks QB Geno Smith, and Bengals QB Joe Burrow.

However, despite being known as one of the most talented QBs in the NFL and winning three Super Bowls within five seasons, Patrick Mahomes was not featured in this unique stat.

There is always this debate going on about who is the better QB among Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow and this stat supports the idea that Burrow had better performance than Mahomes, at least in this criteria.

It is important to note that Mahomes won the Super Bowl championship last season, but Joe Burrow couldn’t compete in the later part of the season because of his wrist injury. The QB missed eight games because of this injury and his team couldn’t make it to the playoffs without him.

However, recent reports indicate he is recovering fast and the same will not happen in the next season.

Joe Burrow is recovering nicely after wrist surgery

Recently, it was reported that Joe Burrow has started throwing. It is a big recovery considering his wrist injury was serious which prevented him from playing properly in the 2023 season.

The sources confirmed that the QB is on track to make a full recovery after undergoing wrist surgery in November. He is still not completely healthy to make a comeback, but he is working hard to ensure gametime in the upcoming regular season.

SI revealed that Joe Burrow is planning to participate in the Bengals’ offseason program in May. He will be focusing on increasing the frequency of throwing and the intensity.

Fortunately, the QB didn’t have any grip or strength issues which is also a positive sign. Burrow has also been lifting for a month as he was spotted gripping and lifting dumbbells with his hand that got injured earlier.

Last season, because of Joe Burrow’s absence, the Bengals finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs. But now the QB is expected to recover fast and join his team in the upcoming season.
