“Come on in my boy” Jamahal hill responds to potential Alex Pereira match

Jmahal Hill recently became the undisputed UFC Light-heavyweight champion by defeating Glover Teixeira in a 5-round match. On the other hand, Alex Pereira defeated his long-time rival Israel Adesanya for the third time on UFC 281 back in 2022. Now that some time has passed, we could see a Jamahal hill vs Alex Pereira matchup soon.

The Glover Texeira title fight was very significant for a lot of reasons. Glover is 43 and he wanted to win the belt for the second time to show the world age is just a number. Since the fight was set to take place in Brazil, he was getting that extra support too but his opponent Jamahal Hill was unfazed. And in the battle between generations, the youth laughed the last laugh.

Alex Pereira was a kickboxer under the Glory kickboxing promotions where he became the champion in the Middleweight and Light-heavyweight divisions. For his transition to MMA, he was trying to improve his ground game by training with Teixeira. After the veteran got defeated, ‘Paotan’ was understandably not in a very jolly mode and sized off Jamahal.

Later Alex called out the champ, “I heard Prochazka is injured. What about knocking me out?”

Hill wasn’t scared of the challenge either, “They tell me he (Alex Pereira) might come up [to light heavyweight],” Hill said. “Come on in my boy. Whenever he decides. Oh yeah, I can go up there and f**k him up. Come on in my boy, all that smoke. I was there [at UFC 281] – I watched [the fight] live. All respect to Izzy (Israel Adesanya), but I’ll knock Pereira the f**k out”

Can the Jamahal hill vs Alex Pereira match actually happen?

If this match does actually happen, it will take some time and Jamahal had been handed a medical suspension by the authority. Alex on the other hand has fought in the Light-heavyweight weight class before and therefore is not a stranger to the concept of moving up in weight.

When do you want to see the two hard hitters scrap?
