Many fans and pundits of both boxing and mixed martial arts have been eagerly awaiting the news about this highly anticipated clash, and it appears that discussions between the two heavyweights are reaching a closing stage.

Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou fight may be confirmed shortly

Several top boxing promoters have hinted at the possibility of this mega-crossover fight, further fueling excitement among boxing enthusiasts recently. While an official announcement is yet to be made, it seems that it’s only a matter of time before the details of this showdown will be revealed. 

Yesterday, Ariel Helwani, also expressed his optimism toward the fight to take place by tweeting, “Tyson Fury x Francis Ngannou is expected to be announced very soon, per sources,”

Eddie Hearn has joined the chorus of voices hinting at the possibility of a matchup between ‘The Predator’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ too. As an influential figure in the boxing world, Hearn seems to believe that this fight can happen and his optimistic attitude has added to the growing buzz surrounding the potential showdown between Ngannou and Fury.

“Yes. I believe so. This is what I’ve heard. It will be an exhibition apparently. No knockdowns or anything. I don’t know. I’m only telling you what I’ve heard,” Hearn said

Years were spent planning the Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou battle

The clash between the two heavyweight powerhouses from different combat sports disciplines has captured the attention of many fans worldwide for more than a year now. 

The Cameroonian-French MMA fighter, who recently joined Professional Fighters League, earlier stated his desire to face Fury saying, “I’m gonna find out who is the baddest motherfucker on the planet,” 

Fury has acknowledged Ngannou’s desire to fight him and verbally agreed to a potential clash,

“This is going to be one very special fight. Like never before seen in the history of our sport. We’re not talking two light guys, 140 lbs. I’m 270, he’s 270 lbs. It’s going to be an explosive fight when it happens.” Tyson said. 

As negotiations progress and discussions come to a close apparently, many fight fans across the globe eagerly await the official announcement that should confirm the date, venue, and rules for what is expected to be a monumental clash in the combat sports world.
