KSI labels Jake Paul “idiot” as boxers agree new deal for bout this year

There has been tension between KSI and Jake Paul for months about the possibility of a boxing bout, and now it is almost confirmed the two will finally square off this time.

KSI made his professional debut in 2019 against another YouTube star Logan Paul. He defeated Logan in a split decision in the bout, which took place at the Staples Center.

It was a long time before KSI stepped back into the ring again as a professional boxer. After waiting three years, on August 27, 2022, he defeated both Brandon Scott and Luis Alcaraz Pineda in back-to-back fights in one night.

The British boxer was supposed to face Dillon Danis in the main event of Misfits Boxing 4, held at Wembley Arena in London, but instead faced off against another YouTube sensation nicknamed FaZe Temperrr.

As soon as Faze was defeated, talk turned to KSI’s next opponent. When the names of some of his potential boxing opponents were mentioned, the British boxer specifically called out his foe Jake Paul as someone he wants to face.

Eventually, after weeks of back-and-forth on Twitter, Jake accepted KSI’s challenge to fight, but only on the condition that the winner would receive all of the money and the loser would receive nothing.

As a response, KSI called Jake an idiot for imposing such a term and said that he would win the fight and leave Jake with nothing.

“So you gave into my demands and now want to give me more money too? You got yourself a deal idiot.” KSI tweeted.

In an instant response, Jake Paul, who has just inked a deal with PFL to begin his MMA professional career, told KSI, “Yeah I gave into your ‘demands’ to try and give you an advantage for you to actually agree to fight me. Again ZERO to the loser. Not you, not your fake a** promotion.”

Even if it appears as if the two YouTubers have verbally agreed upon something based on their tweets, nothing is locked in until a contract is signed.
