Lionel Messi came off the bench in the 54th minute to make his debut at Inter Miami. The score was 1-1 and many fans expected Messi to do his thing and give them a lead. Messi managed to land a score in the 94th minute when Carlos Salcedo committed a foul and gifted Inter Miami a freekick.
The former Barca star stepped up to take the free kick and put the ball in the back of the net seemingly with relative ease. It was after this beautiful goal captain DeAndre Yedlin handed over the captaincy to Lionel Messi.

Messi really showed his appreciation towards DeAndre Yedlin when after the final match, he went to him and put the captain band on his arm before lifting the cup. This gesture was a surprising moment for Yedlin as he probably never expected something like this to happen.
“CHAMPIONS!!! Very happy to get the first title in this club’s history. Everyone’s hard work and commitment made it possible. Hopefully, this is just the beginning… Let’s go @intermiamicf!!!!”, said Messi.

The debate of who is the ultimate G.O.A.T between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo has been going on for a long time and fans have started to compare the two not only based on their performances but also their behaviors off the field.
