Steph Curry dominates NBA GM survey for most clutch player, best guard

The game is in its dying hour. Your team needs to win it at any cost, but they are trailing. A 3-pointer is needed. Whom would you bet on taking that shot? Let us guess, Steph Curry? We got that right, didn’t we? Well, according to the NBA’s annual GM survey, most participants would want the Warriors’ point guard to have that shot.

With 55% of the vote, Curry dominated the competition of being the best clutch player, finishing well ahead of Kevin Durant (17%) and Damian Lillard (14%).

In the 21-22 season, Curry was on another level in terms of winning it for his team at the last minute. His clutch playing ability changed the course of so many games last season that if it hadn’t been for him, who knows what would’ve happened to the Warriors instead of winning the championship.

But not only as a clutch player, Curry was also voted the best point guard of last season with a staggering 72% vote. Undoubtedly, Curry had a memorable last season. Statistically, Steph had one of his best seasons as he averaged 27.4 points per game with the Warriors.

Even after being the most clutch player and the best point guard, Curry’s domination didn’t stop there. he was also named greatest pure shooter in the league (91 percent), best player at moving without the ball (81 percent), and the player who forces the most changes from opposition coaches (52 percent). Isn’t that outrageous?

According To The Survey, How Will The Warriors Fare This Season?

After winning the championship last season, the Warriors are bound to be one of the favorites this season. However, with 25 percent of the votes, they were the second-most popular prediction to win the 2023 NBA Finals, just ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers (21 percent) and following only Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks, who are the favorites to win the finals with 43 percent of the votes.

Although the only 1/4 of the survey believes in the Warriors to repeat their success, they will have the most dominating player of last season leading their side to prove rest of them wrong.

Curry is all set for the new season, to lead his side for the repeat as we are only a few weeks away from the commencement of the new season. Dear readers, what do you think? Will Steph and the Warriors prevail again? Or are we in for some next-level drama this season?
