UFC star hints Jorge Masvidal’s comeback to potentially fight Conor McGregor or Nate Diaz

After his last match in UFC 287, Jorge Masvidal has finally made the decision to hang up his gloves. Gilbert Burns, Gamebred’s last opponent in the octagon, believes there’s a chance he’ll make a comeback and face a major star.

The co-main event of UFC 287 featured a fight between Durinho and Gamebred on April 8 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. To extend his winning streak, the Brazilian fighter defeated the local hero.

What did Gilbert Burns have to say about Jorge Masvidal’s prospective comeback?

According to a recent comment made by Durinho, Jorge still had it in the octagon even though the Brazilian fighter defeated the Miami native by unanimous decision after three rounds of overwhelming dominance over the American fighter.

“He was very dangerous in there. He kept fighting the entire time. Even when I was grappling him. He had all the answers. He knows how to respond, where to put his hands. What to do when he gets brought back to the canvas. He’s very intelligent. ” Burns said to MMA Junkie.

After spending twenty years in the ring, it is only possible that the BMF title winner would have a heck of a time to stay away from MMA. The 39-year-old fighter did say he would like to try out other combat sports in the future. But the number 5-ranked welterweight fighter thinks differently about his UFC 287 opponent.

“Right now he’s retired. And as a title contender he’s retired. But for big money fights against (Conor) McGregor or Nate Diaz or another big name, I think he returns. ” Burns added.

Burns is stating all of this after accusing Masvidal of cheating during their fight in Miami. Gamebred did not appear to take the remarks very well at all, and after realizing his error, the Brazilian fighter sent the recently retired UFC fighter a video apology.

Do you concur with Gilbert Burns that if a huge fight is offered to Jorge Masvidal, he may decide to come out of retirement? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section.
