Bellato 266: Yoel Romero vs Phil Davis Fight Purse, Payouts, Salaries, Fight Card

Former UFC Middleweight Championship challenger Yoel Romero will fight another UFC title contender Phil Davis at Bellator 266. The bout is set to begin at 9 PM ET and take place at SAP Center in San Jose, California.

After three consecutive UFC losses, Romero signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA in December 2020. However, he never appeared in any fight at Bellator after his contract. So, this light heavyweight bout will be his long-awaited debut. Yoel Romero was originally scheduled to fight Anthony Johnson at Bellator 257.

It’s needless to say that Romero was one of the top fighters in UFC while Phil Davis is also a top fighter as he won the Bellator Light Heavyweight World Champion once. So, you can understand that there will be a reasonable amount of money on the purse.

Since, it is not a title fight, the fighters cannot expect a huge amount of purse at Bellator 266. However, the payout for the bouts is not public. So, we will give an estimation of the Romero vs Davis fight purse based on their earnings from the past fights.

Yoel Romero earned around $350,000 base salary in his last UFC fight against Israel Adesanya. And Romero’s average earning from the last few UFC fights was in between $150,000 to $250,000. Hence, it is expected that Romero will also earn around $100,000 to $150,000 at Bellator 266. However, Romero earned $70,000 in his UFC debut back in 2013.

On the other hand, Phil Davis’ usual earning from a regular Bellator fight is around $60,000 to $100,000. But this rises for the tile fights. So, according to the analysis he will earn around $100,000.

These are estimations. If we get to know the actual numbers, we will update it here.
