FURIA returns to Rainbow Six Siege with w7m Esports after 1-year absence

The Brazilian team Furia Esports has announced their comeback in the Rainbow Six Siege competitive scene. They have announced a new roster, which looks very competitive on paper going into the 2024 season.

After spending the last year in isolation, they are back again. They left the competitive scene back in 2022 after failing to qualify for the Six Invitational 2023. The new squad was assembled after the conclusion of the Six Invitational 2024 that was held in Brazil. The new squad with experienced players will give Furia a boost as they head for the 2024 season.

FURIA sign w7m to make Rainbow Six Siege return

Furia Esports has signed the entire roster of w7m who won the recently concluded Invitational in Brazil. This is great news for Furia, considering the squad won the invitational and two majors last year. The combined experience of the team is sure to bolster them, as no other team has a combined record like theirs.

The current Furia roster consists of FelipoX, HerdsZ, JV92, Kheyze, and Nade. Gustavo Herdina, a.k.a. HerdsZ, was effusive in praise for Furia in a recently released statement and called them one of the ‘gigantic organizations’ in eSports.

Furia has previously competed in the 2021 and 2022 Invitationals. They also appeared in the Berlin and Charlotte Majors before deciding to skip the 2023 season. While they have not won a major international tournament yet, it would be unwise to write them off just yet. The new squad had a great year last year, and Furia would hope for the form to continue here as well.

How good is w7m Esports roster?

The former w7m roster is coming off a phenomenal 2023. Not only did they win the Six Invitational 2024, but they also secured first place at Majors Atlanta and Copenhagen. They were in second place at the Invitational 2023 and the Brazil League 2023.

The finals at the Invitational Brazil particularly stood out due to an all-Brazilian final. W7M beat Faze Clan in a tense final, which they won by scores of 3-2.

Results are one thing, but the entire squad has been really exceptional. You have to credit Furia for acting quickly and taking the entire squad on board.

The next big assignment for Furia is to take part in the Brazil league that leads to the Blast R6 Majors taking place in Manchester later this year.
