Boxing manager slams Tyson Fury’s commercial value compared to Usyk: “Fury without Oleksandr Usyk is a nobody”

There is little chance that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s eagerly awaited showdown discussions will resume until at least December. The managers of the two heavyweights are, meanwhile, trading disparaging remarks to add fuel to the flames.

Recently, the managers of Usyk (Egis Klimas) and Tyson Fury (Frank Warren) exchanged verbal blows with one another. Both boxing promoters asserted that their fighter would bring in more money from a fight than the other.

Egis Klimas fires back at Frank Warren

In a recent interview with Boxing King Media, Klimas, a renowned boxing manager who has worked with numerous world champions and Olympic medalists, retaliated against Frank for his derogatory remark about Usyk.

“As of today, Fury’s worth is nothing. You can’t compare how much Usyk is worth, how much Tyson Fury is worth. Usyk was already worth thirty million before that [proposed fight].” Klimas said.

The 58-year-old boxing promoter, who is often known for his calm and composed behavior, made an audacious remark about Fury by saying,” I don’t understand those people when they are talking about who is worth what. Fury, without Usyk, is a nobody.”

Frank Warren’s jab on the commercial value of Usyk

Due to a number of technical issues, the mega-fight between ‘The Cat’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ that was initially scheduled for April 29 was postponed. Now the mandatory title defense bout between the Ukrainian heavyweight and Daniel Dubois is scheduled to take place this summer.

Frank Warren, the manager of Tyson Fury, recently talked about Usyk’s next fight against Dubois in an interview with TalkSport, which prompted Klimas to lash out at his boxer’s heavyweight adversary.

“Usyk vs Dubois went for purse bids and the bid was $ 8 million. He gets $ 6 million. That’s the value of Usyk. If Fury vs Dubois went for purse bids, that’d fetch $ 30 million all day long, because that’s the value of Tyson Fury” Frank said.

In the last two years, Usyk only fought twice, and both of those bouts were against Anthony Joshua. Although Usyk defeated AJ in back-to-back fights, none of the triumphs were by a knockout. The 36-year-old boxer is now looking forward to a glorious KO win against ‘Dynamite’.
