Broncos’ vet QB Peyton Manning opens up on his heartwarming message to Tom Brady’s second retirement from NFL

Tom Brady might have millions of fans who love him. However, he will most certainly never have a rival like Peyton Manning. Manning loved competing with Brady in his playing years, and he knew he could become a better player if he were up against TB12 consistently. So, even after getting the chance to go to NFC teams with better opportunities, Peyton restrained himself from not doing so.

After he had retired, Peyton could not get over Tom Brady and his magnificent gameplay. So, like most other fans of TB12, Manning loved to watch the quarterback scoring touchdowns and celebrations afterward. Most importantly, Tom Brady’s desire to improve “every single day” impressed Peyton the most.

After Tom announced his retirement last year, the rival wrote a handwritten letter to TB12 expressing his admiration for the NFL GOAT along with a bottle of wine. However, Tom was back after 40 days, and after ending a tragic year with his divorce, the legend announced his second retirement.

This time, Peyton Manning said that he had already notified Tom that he would not write another “heartwarming letter,” but he could not hold himself from delivering a massage while saying so.

What did Peyton Manning say?

Manning appeared in the Let’s Go! A podcast where Brady was also present. Firstly, Peyton congratulates Tom and says it will never be enough to congregate a player with such high feats as Tom.

Then he goes on to say that, nonetheless, he will not write another letter, and he has already told Brady that he is not going to “pour his heart and soul” once again- the previous letter will have to count as the official “retirement letter.”

Furthermore, Manning admired Tom for his career and talked about his goals to improve as a player. He says, “The continuity, the consistency, the goal to be better the next year than you were the year before. There’s an old saying you either get better, or you get worse every day; you don’t stay the same. I mean, Tom Brady truly got better every day, and that was his goal.”

Peyton Manning loves Tom Brady and what he has done over the years. His words for Brady never fail to get a smile out of the NFL GOAT. Even though Tom Brady is now retired, we would love to see the duo more often talking football.
