COD MW3 Season 3: MW2 guns reportedly getting aftermarket parts next season

In Call of Duty’s latest iteration, Modern Warfare 3, players saw a new prospect of weapons added to the game called Aftermarket Parts. This new category of attachment brought a new dynamic to weapons, which completely changed how they functioned. It was certainly a fun addition, as players can explore different loadouts and playstyles with the same weapon.

Up until now, the Aftermarket Parts were exclusive to MW3 weapons only. However, recent rumors suggest that they might be making way to MW2 weapons as well, which will certainly make them more viable in the current meta.

What are Aftermarket Parts in MW3?

In Modern Warfare 3, Aftermarket Parts represent an exciting new dimension of customization. Think of them as comprehensive conversion kits tailored for specific weapons, offering players a range of options to use their performance and appearance and even unlocking further customization avenues. In MW3 Season 1, the Pullemyot LMG with the JAK Bullpup conversion kit was one of the strongest weapons to use in Warzone, and it remains very viable in Season 2 Reloaded as well.

This addition brings a fresh layer of depth to the gameplay, allowing enthusiasts to use their weapons to suit their playstyle.

To access some of these Aftermarket Parts, players must have a diligent rank of their chosen weapon to its maximum level. Once maxed out, the players unlock a specific challenge relevant to the weapon, which they need to complete in order to unlock the conversion kit. Other Aftermarket Parts are locked behind weekly challenges and in the Battle Pass.
