“My kids tease me and call me illiterate” – Mike Tyson reveals heartbreaking truth that his own children do not respect me

Mike Tyson has solidified his spot as one of the greatest boxers to have ever graced the sport of boxing. With a spectacular record of 50-6 which includes 44 wins via knockout, Iron Mike is regarded as the greatest knockout artist in boxing. It is safe to say that the former heavyweight champion is feared by everyone around the world.

Interestingly, Mike Tyson has achieved all the accolades in boxing without any educational qualifications. It is needless to say that boxing requires a specific qualification as long as one has the talent and work ethic, he or she can pursue the sport. Iron Mike is a great example as he didn’t finish school and started boxing under the tutelage of Cus D’Amato.

With the help of a great coaching staff, Mike Tyson went on to beat tough opponents and legends throughout his career. Consequently, Mike gets a lot of respect from his peers and all the fans around the world. However, there are few people who pick on the former heavyweight champion. It is quite surprising to hear but Mike’s kids are the ones who tease him.

In a recent episode of his podcast Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Ryan Garcia was the guest who made a special appearance ahead of his fight against Gervonta Davis. During this conversation, Mike Tyson shared an interesting story where he spoke about how his kids tease him for his educational qualifications.

Family that’s what all this stuff is about it’s not about I’m the greatest in the history of fighting from eternity to now I’m gonna be the greatest all that.”  He also spoke about his children and said, “I was saying it’s about taking care of your fan be able to send with this guy send my babies to these great universities and stuff I can’t even listen to some of my kids tease me and call me illiterate and stuff.” 

Mike Tyson is currently focused on enjoying his time with his family. One can see the former heavyweight champion make appearances at UFC events and boxing fights lately. Iron Mike is also active on his YouTube channel where he posts episodes of his podcast.
