What’s new in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes? Mythical new teaser revealed

The latest season of Fortnite’s Chapter 5 is here, and it brings loads of new content. Previous leaks already pointed to the arrival of Greek mythology and characters based on it, and now, Epic Games has released a teaser confirming it.

The arrival of Greek gods will add new skins, weapons, and locations to the sprawling world of Fortnite. A particular collaboration looks really interesting in the days to come.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes explained

The latest chapter will feature Zeus, Hades, Cerberus, Icarus, and Ares. Other characters are reported to arrive in the upcoming Battle Pass. Odyssey is set to arrive as a free skin unlockable after playing ranked matches. The battle pass will contain all the skins of the new characters.

There will be new locations based on Greek mythology, as teased by Ruined Reels in the earlier season. Judging by the arrival of Zeus and Hades, we will see Mount Olympus and the River of Styx as points of interest on the map. This will bring fresh sets of challenges and plenty of loot.

Four confirmed new items are also arriving. The lightning bolt of Zeus, the three-headed dog Cerberus, the chains of Hades, and the wings of Icarus. Players can equip them to deal damage to their opponents. As for Icarus’ wings, this will likely arrive as a glider for the players to quickly move from one location to another.

Kratos could arrive at some point this season. The younger version, which was featured in the earlier games, could make a comeback. A recent Fornite survey confirmed this information, according to Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR. Avatar: The Last Airbender is also expected to arrive after the live-action series debuts on Netflix.

Fortnite officially drops Chapter 5 Season 2 teaser

Epic Games released a teaser for Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2, titled Myths and Mortals. In the teaser, we see a player controlling Cerberus. The chains of Hades are also seen emitting a green light. The very next moment, a player is seen standing on Mount Olympus, wielding a lightning bolt.

The 20-second teaser ends with a poster showing all the Greek gods that will make an appearance. Even though we did not see Hermes or Ares in the video, they are expected to play a role this season.

Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2 starts on March 8 PM GMT. Expect the servers to be down for a few hours before the updates start pushing to the gamers.
