Astralis legend Dupreeh joins new all-Danish roster for CS2 ahead of Copenhagen Major 2024

Astralis is an eSports team based in Denmark, founded in 2016. They share the same name as another disbanded Finnish eSports team that was disbanded in 2009. Their performance unfortunately deteriorated over time, with the last major achievement dating way back in 2019.

Over the years, Astralis has seen the transfer of various players, including Dupreeh. With its days of glory left far behind, Astralis, with the transfer of some of its founding members, looks for a state of rebuilding.

Dupreeh joins Preasy eyeing Copenhagen Major title

Peter “Dupreeh” Rasmussen is the most decorated player in CS: GO history, with him attending all of the 19 CS:GO majors and even winning 5 of them. He was transferred from his boyhood team Astralis to Team Vitality, where he won a major, and then he went as a stand-in to Team Heroics, from where he recently transferred to an all-Danish team, Preasy eSports. Dupreeh plans to reach Copenhagen Major 2024 with this team.

Dupreeh, after his brief stint with Heroics, recently joined Preasy eSports to accomplish their shared dream of reaching the first Copenhagen Major. He shared the news in a recent tweet, while stating the reason for the same.

His desire to connect with his grassroots after playing for a French and a Norwegian team is one of the main reasons that drove him to this team. Being a player who has attended and even won many majors throughout his career, Dupreeh feels he has a lot to offer and that benching him won’t do him justice. He also shared his discontent with Tier 1 teams, their decision making and the RMR rules in the tweet.

This tweet shows a roster of Team Heroics, just a week before Dupreeh’s stand-in period got over and he decided to join Preasy eSports.

Preasy also took liberty in announcing the alleged “homecoming” of a legend of the game through its YouTube channel.

What is the current Preasy Esports roster?

With the addition of Dupreeh, Preasy Esports has an all-Danish roster aiming for Copenhagen Majors in 2024. The departure of Nicoodoz made way for Dupreeh’s arrival, and here’s how the current roster stands.

Ismail “Refrezh” Ali, Fredrick “Roej” Jorgenson, Peter “Dupreeh” Rasmussen, Alexander “Altekz” Givskov and Thomas “TMB” Bundsbaek.

Daniel Vorborg is the head coach.

This roster, and more specifically, the arrival of Dupreeh, has instilled new hope in Preasy fans, a hope that might let them win their first Copenhagen Majors. Will he be able to lead Preasy to glory? Tell us what you think in the comments section.
