Dillian Whyte wants his rematch vs Anthony Joshua claiming to be Joshua’s worst nightmare

Eight years have passed since Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte first met. Whyte is now hoping to face AJ again and exact revenge.

The two British boxers engaged in a matchup in London’s O2 Arena on December 12, 2015, when both were still unbeaten. The seventh round knockout by AJ put a stop to Whyte’s unbeaten streak.

Dillian Whyte regarding his rematch with Anthony Joshua

The Body Snatcher recently appeared in an interview with The Sun where he expressed he desperately he waited for his rematch against Joshua. The 35-year-old boxer was hoping to fight AJ after defeating Jermaine Franklin.

“I am waiting for my next fight — and was meant to fight Joshua after Franklin. Joshua and his team told everybody ‘the winner of Whyte and Franklin fights AJ” said Dillian.

AJ rather fought Franklin in April and got back to the winning track, however fans had been looking for a knockout from their favorite fighter but it didn’t happen. However, Dillian is still anticipating his rematch against Anthony no matter what.

“He can’t decide if I’m his dream opponent or his worst nightmare. I want the fight. I know that DAZN want the fight, too, because it would be an absolutely huge event.”

Dillian Whyte thinks Joshua is afraid to face him even though he was the one to suffer a defeat during their first encounter. Whyte at the moment doesn’t have any fight scheduled while AJ is aiming for a December showdown against Deontay Wilder.

The Body Snatcher’s thoughts on the Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder bout

The probable date, time, and location of AJ’s next battle were recently revealed. Deontay Wilder and Joshua will square off in Saudi Arabia in December, according to the British boxer. Joshua’s career, in Whyte’s opinion, will be over if he is unable to overcome Bronze Bomber.

“Joshua isn’t the golden goose anymore, the sport doesn’t revolve around him. Him and his people don’t seem to realize it but duck me again and lose to Wilder in December and he and his team — that know so much but do so little — are finished. ” says Whyte.
