Get ready for a gaming fiesta from July 1st to 14th in the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Breaking traditions, this marks the first MSC event outside Southeast Asia, promising a whole new level of gaming spectacle.

Ralf Reichert, the Esports World Cup Foundation’s CEO, extends the warmest welcome to this mobile gaming sensation, setting the stage for a clash of titans in the world of esports.

“With one of the world’s most popular and watched mobile esports participating in our unique cross-club competition, we’re set to welcome millions of fans to the Esports World Cup platform – a place of celebration of video games and gaming culture, where the best players are recognized as competitive and cultural icons of the world’s fastest-growing sport,” he stated.

Mobile Legends renames Southeast Asia Cup Mid Season Cup

Moonton Games shakes up the eSports scene as it rebrands its Mobile Legends Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) to the MLBB Mid Season Cup.

This move aligns with the company’s initiative, “Esports for Everyone,” expanding the tournament to include teams from North America, MENA, and Turkey. The 2023 MSC marks the beginning of this inclusive approach, breaking away from its previous focus solely on Southeast Asian regions.

Notably, the Mid Season Cup will run concurrently with the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) during the Esports World Cup, adding an extra layer of excitement.

Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem at Moonton Games, sees this as the initial stride in MLBB’s growth, evident in their participation in the 15th World Esports Championship.
