Liverpool place January bid for Inter Milan’s Skriniar as the Red’s brace for Virgil van Dijk’s absence

Liverpool is in competition for a defender such as Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar after Jurgen Klopp and his team struggled throughout the entire season. The Reds are desperately looking for solutions as they are in the market for reinforcements.

After six consecutive seasons of the ultimate thrilling ride of fun and Silverwing, Jurgen Klopp has failed to deliver this season, and their Premier League form is a major cause for concern among fans. Liverpool is currently in sixth place.

Liverpool is well known for their fast-attacking display on top of the pitch and usually been solid on the other half of the pitch is the source of their success and winning titles, but not to be this season.

Liverpool has kept only four clean sheets in 17 Premier League games and has won only eight of them for a total of 28 points, 16 points behind the league leaders. Absolute madness!

After marginally beating Leicester City by 2-1, on their most recent outing, they were humiliated 3-1 by a well-organized Brentford side leaving Klopp to ponder his own team and much to their distress, Virgil Van Dijk left at halftime with a potential hamstring injury.

After initially identifying that the injury was merely a brush, it appeared to be serious, and Liverpool has no luck with them as the group is now turning their focus on Skriniar for an immediate solution.

Milan Skriniar is at the heart of the defense for Inter Milan for the past few years and is arguably their most consistent performer. However, his contract will expire next summer, and he will leave as a free agent after Inter failed to tie him in for a new contract.

As things stand, Liverpool emerged as a potential candidate to land the Slovakian superstar at Anfield, and it will certainly help them in the near future as the Inter Milan defender is only 27 and playing scintillating football.

Liverpool will contact Skriniar’s agent within the next few days in an effort to finalize a deal as promptly as possible. They will be hoping to have him on the team immediately in the absence of Virgin Van Dijk.
