Manchester United’s Casemiro gets brutally insulted by Liverpool’s three time Champions League winner Graeme Souness

Casemiro has been a destructor since he began playing professional football, even when he is in the heart of the midfield, dictating the game for Brazil, Real Madrid, or his new club Manchester United.

Casemiro moved to the English Premier League at a high price tag of $70 million after Manchester United’s hierarchy decided to build their midfield around him and “The Tank” showed his desire to take on new challenges after winning every possible trophy for Real Madrid.

However, prior to his appointment to the Red Devils, former Liverpool player turned pundit Graeme Souness criticizes Casemiro, claiming that he will be of no use to Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United.

Despite being crowned as the UCL champion a record five times, Casemiro, in Souness’ opinion, is very average and has little impact on the games because he lacks real vision and passing range.

“There’s a lot of work that the untrained eye doesn’t see. Filling spaces, preventing passes into his two central defenders behind him.

He was playing with great players, he’s not a great player. He’s never been a great player. I see him as a steady Eddie who will help Manchester United be more solid in midfield.”- Souness said.

“I don’t think he’s got any great range in passing. I don’t think he’s going to make other people play. The Real Madrid team, midfield especially, is full of footballing types. He’s 30 years old, and at £70 million, that’s too much money.

I don’t see him making them any better when they have the ball.”- he further added.

In fact, the former Liverpool professional commented nothing about his club, given the fact that the way they struggled without Sadio Mane’s service and how they will overcome this critical situation and qualify for the next UCL campaign is plenty to be discussed.

Liverpool is currently four points behind Manchester United, with the All-Reds having some difficult fixtures to maneuver with a team riddled with injuries.

Souness would prefer not to face the media anytime soon because he is embarrassed by his own words and United supporters are now mocking him while legends are full of praises.

Manchester United, on the other hand, will be hoping for another few stellar performances from Casemiro in order to silence the critics for a long time and cement their place among the top.
