Panthers RB Miles Sanders calls out Eagles for lack of Super Bowl opportunities: “You should ask them why I’m moving here”

Miles Sanders, the former Philadelphia Eagles player’s seven carriers for sixteen yards couldn’t save his team from getting beaten up by the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. The Phillies lost their battle in a 38-35 loss to the white and red jersey holders.

And this is where the Running Back’s disappointment over the Eagles grew. So, let’s have a look at why the footballer is expressing fiery comments over his former team upon moving with the Panthers.

Miles Sanders throws dig at Eagles

The RB was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2019 NFL draft and played for the team till 2022. His final year with the Eagles was the best year in his career till now which earned him a Pro Bowl.

Miles’ disappointment over the Eagles was generated because he considers himself underutilized by the team during the Super Bowl. Although he did open up about his dissatisfied feeling regarding the issue, he didn’t say anything concrete.

However, it makes it pretty obvious that his rage grew from only getting 34% offensive plays during Super Bowl while his counterpart Gainwell got more than 50%. In his own words regarding his leaving the Eagles, Miles mentioned, “I can get into that another day. Maybe you should ask them why I’m moving here”.

Sanders ready for opportunities to help Panthers

On March 15, 2023, the NFL star agreed to a four-year $25.4 million deal with the Carolina Panthers after ending the tenure of four years with the Phillies.

And Miles is more than committed to making the best possible use of his potential to lead his new team toward victory. Besides, the Panthers too hold great expectations over this running back and are probably going to depend a lot on his mighty shoulders.

The athlete is counting the days to excel more in his passing game with Panthers under the guidance of coach Duce Staley.
Miles Sanders has already proved his worth during his rookie days making a record of 50 passes for 509 yards along with three Touchdowns. So, it remains to be seen how his skills flourish standing on the front line with Carolina Panthers.
