“I can see him getting frustrated” Soccer legend Alan Shearer believes Man City teammates are holding back Erling Haaland from scoring even more

Premier League legend Alan Shearer believes Erling Haaland should have scored more goals despite the frightening numbers he produced at Man City after his arrival as the teammates are holding him back.

Shearer is widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers in the history of English football after he began his career at Southampton before moving to Blackburn Rovers, where he won the Premier League title in the 1994-95 season.

During his time at Newcastle, Shearer was the Premier League’s all-time leading scorer, with 260 goals in 441 appearances, and also won the Golden Boot three times as well as became the league’s top scorer for three consecutive seasons from 1994 to 1997.

Erling Haaland already netted 32 goals in his 29 appearances for the Cityzens including a staggering 26 goals in the Premier League, but Alan Shearer, the record holder for most goals in the history of PL has a firm trust in the Norwegian that he could have been scored a whole lot more than the number he produced.

â€œIt seems absolutely bonkers that someone who has got 25 goals in 21 games, we’re saying he could do better,” Shearer said on Prime Video Sport ahead of Wednesday’s top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal.

The former English forward can see the frustration of Erling Haaland as the Vikings made a lot of runs throughout every game but often gets neglected by their teammates.

“I said in the interview about his frustration, about some of the times when his teammates aren’t either putting it into the box from out wide or passing it.”- Shearer continued.

Erling Haaland joined Man City at the start of this new season as the Norwegian is with the team for barely seven months which could be a fact as they are not in the same wavelengths yet with each other.

“When I spoke to him yesterday, I got a little bit of that. OK, he’s been scoring goals and getting assists, but that’s the one thing – I think he’s looking to his teammates to try and help him out a bit more.”- Shearer further added.

Erling Haaland will be key to Man City’s success in terms of clinching the Premier League and their most desired UCL title as the Half Man-Half Robot will look to develop chemistry with his teammates and score more and more goals for the Cityzens.
