Reports claim WWE planning Paul Heyman’s title run to further elevate Roman Reigns’ “The Tribal Chief” persona

Roman Reigns, the current Undisputed Champion in WWE is enjoying an unprecedented run of success in recent years. However, his storyline within The Bloodline faction has taken an unexpected turn, as tensions have arisen among its members.

The faction’s internal conflicts suggest a potential collapse since Jimmy Uso delivered a surprising Superkick to Roman Reigns at WWE Night of Champions 2023.

On the other hand, The Head of the Table has also been given a new Undisputed Championship during his 1000 days celebration. Since getting the Undisputed Championship, Roman Reigns hasn’t appeared on WWE Smackdown but now he is scheduled for the upcoming edition which takes place on 16 June 2023.

But according to a report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, WWE is discussing having Paul Heyman continue to carry both titles while Reigns carries the new ones only. This concept is not approved yet and has reportedly been a topic of discussion within the company.

Roman Reigns to carry only the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship moving forward

According to reports, it appears that Roman Reigns will only be carrying a single championship moving forward. After his victory over Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 38, The Tribal Chief held both titles, accompanied by Paul Heyman.

With the rebranding of championships on the main roster by Triple H, it seems that the decision has been made for Roman Reigns to exclusively hold a single championship for now. The new golden championship seems to be fit to establish the legacy of Roman Reigns as the dominant force in WWE.

The Tribal Chief is also announced to make his return on the upcoming WWE Smackdown where The Tribal Chief is likely to confront Jey Uso and force him to make his decision regarding The Bloodline.

Paul Heyman supposedly to exhibit the previous two titles’ history

The reports not only suggest that Roman Reigns will carry the single Undisputed Championship moving forward, but they also suggest that Paul Heyman is likely to hold the other two championships. If these rumors prove true, we could see The Special Council holding both the WWE Championship and the Universal title alongside Roman Reigns, who continues to hold the Undisputed title.

The likely reason behind Heyman carrying one of the titles would be to solidify Roman Reigns’ legacy and symbolize the greatness of the Tribal Chief, while also maintaining the historical significance of the two championships.

Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa are also rumored to have a match against The Usos at WWE Money in the Bank 2023.
