FC Barcelona signed Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich with a view to assigning him the role of main striker, and therefore, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang became the optional one who could leave the Catalan club for Chelsea FC this summer.
Rumors are speculating that Romelu Lukaku’s departure from the Blues has made Tuchel think twice about nurturing the existing strikers and, therefore, he is enthusiastic about signing the Gabonese striker to make a strong striking lineup.
Why does Chelsea want to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona?
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang only moved to Barcelona from England in January, but Juan Laporta is already considering letting certain players go from Catalonia in an effort to temporarily alleviate some of the club’s financial woes.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Pierre Emerick Aubameyang could say goodbye to his Barca teammates ahead of a potential London return by saying, “Chelsea are now considering Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as potential new striker. Discussions have already started on player side, still no bid to Barcelona.”

Thomas Tuchel is very open about how desperate Chelsea is for reinforcements, as the transfer market approaches its last month, he has been quite vocal about his desire for not only new acquisitions but also a fleecing of exiting players.
This notion of Juan Laporta and Tuchel matches the point of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who might be a perfect fit for both the club’s current situation.

Todd Boehly, the outward-facing negotiator for the new ownership group of Chelsea FC, has been busier and more active in the market than any other owner in recent memory, but the group has only signed two seniors, despite the fact that the contracts with Gabriel Slonina and Carney Chukwuemeka show some sense of long-term thinking as well.
At this point, Chelsea fans are hoping for this star player to be included in their team as soon as possible.
