Twitch streamer Brooke Ashley aka BrookeAB shares horrific college experience: “I was s*xaully assaulted and r*ped”

The gaming content creation space is in a lot of turmoil after popular streamers were accused of sexual misconduct recently. Amid all these, 100 Thieves streamer BrookeAB has shared about one of the most distressing episodes of her life.

She spoke after another streamer named Caitiebugzz revealed that she was sexually abused. BrookeAB’s admission comes after popular streamers have reacted to Caitie’s claim, and the clips are making the rounds on the internet. Brooke, who is known for her Twitch streams, plays Fortnite, Valorant, and Pokemon regularly. She signed up with 100 Thieves as a content creator in 2019.

BrookeAB reveals terrible experiences

During a recent Twitch stream, Brook AB shared that she was sexually abused and raped while in college. She felt embarrassed and alone, keeping this inside and not sharing it with others. The statement goes out to all the victims, and she added that they are not alone in this.

The startling revelation was not meant for her, but rather the overall response to consent as seen in the content creator space. ‘The responses to it are pretty terrible,’ she added while showing her disappointment at content creators downplaying the allegations from victims.

She even pointed out Dream’s statement about consent as extremely dangerous. In a Reddit post, Dream said that people can be dishonest if they do not provide verbal consent, referring to Caitiebugzzs allegations against GeorgeNotFound. Brooke felt that someone with such a large following could not say things to damage the victim’s side of the story.

Brooke feels that one should not just assume consent unless given verbally. She even stressed that victims cannot be dishonest about things like that. The entire session was very emotional, as she was breaking down frequently. She stressed the importance of hearing the victims and not simply blaming them.

Fans extend support to BrookeAB

During the Twitch stream, fans were quick to thank Brooke for sharing her story. Many of her 100Thieves colleagues extended their support and felt that she was an inspiration to many.

Kalei from Faze Clan shared that it takes courage to share such a personal happening with others.

Others lauded her courage and sent their love through their tweets.

It is disheartening to see a popular streamer share a difficult part of her life. What do you think of this? Share your thoughts about this episode in the comments below.
