Cody Rhodes’ wife threatens Rhea Ripley, deep diving into Brandi Rhodes’ WWE career

Rhea Ripley, the fierce SmackDown Women’s Champion and the nurturing ‘mami’ to Dominik Mysterio, found herself on the receiving end of a startling message from none other than Cody Rhodes’ wife Brandi Rhodes.

In the exhilarating world of WWE, where larger-than-life characters collide and narratives intertwine, an unexpected clash of such personalities has emerged time and again.

Brandi Rhodes’ past WWE stint

Back in 2011, after showcasing her talent during a tryout, Cody Rhodes’ wife Brandi secured a developmental contract with WWE. March of that year marked the beginning of her tenure, as she graced the stage of FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) and made a memorable NXT debut as a captivating ring announcer.

Throughout her time in WWE, she was known by the moniker Eden Stiles. Although her WWE stint came to an end, it was not the end of the road for the resilient Brandi Rhodes. In 2013, she resurfaced with a fresh identity, simply referred to as Eden, taking on the role of ring announcer for both NXT and WWE SmackDown. A momentous occasion transpired in 2015 when Rhodes became the first black woman to lend her announcing prowess to the grandeur of WrestleMania.

However, as fate would have it, 2016 marked a turning point for Brandi Rhodes and her husband. Departing from WWE, they embarked on new ventures. In October of that same year, Brandi Rhodes ventured into singles wrestling, debuting for Pro Wrestling Magic. Nevertheless, the story of the Rhodes power couple did not reach its final chapter there. 2018 ushered in a new era as they joined forces with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

As destiny would intertwine their paths once more, Cody Rhodes departed from AEW and returned to WWE in 2022. Accompanying her husband’s decision, Brandi Rhodes bid farewell to AEW, temporarily leaving the wrestling scene behind. Since then, she has yet to make an appearance alongside Cody in the WWE realm.

Brandi threatens Smackdown Women’s Champ Rhea Ripley

Now, on to the recent confrontation brewing between Brandi Rhodes and the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley. During a memorable episode of Raw in Hartford, CT, a surprise twist unfolded. Cody Rhodes found himself in the midst of The Miz’s talk show, Miz TV, when Dominik Mysterio unexpectedly made an appearance.

The Miz brought Mysterio to the ring, leading to an intense verbal exchange. Mysterio boldly accused Cody of neglecting his responsibilities as a father, urging him to prioritize his daughter over a potential clash with the mighty Brock Lesnar. In response, Rhodes astutely acknowledged the mistakes made by Dominik’s father, Rey Mysterio, emphasizing that he was presently facing the consequences of his actions.

This remark provoked a heated response from the young Mysterio, who took a cheap shot at Cody before swiftly retreating behind the protective shield of Rhea Ripley. Urging Cody to take action, Ripley stood firm, but The American Nightmare opted against engaging in physicality with The Judgment Day’s eradicator.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes’ wife, observing the events unfold, seized the opportunity to issue a chilling warning to the indomitable champion through her social media platform. Her message carried a veiled threat: “Papa won’t hit Mami… but Mommy will.” Intriguingly, since departing from AEW alongside her husband in February 2022, Brandi Rhodes has maintained her distance from the wrestling realm, leaving us wondering if a return is imminent or merely a distant possibility.
