Gabriela Cavallin left “absolutely devastated” by Manchester United’s actions in light of Antony’s alleged assault case

Manchester United are not having the best time. The club has lost 2 of their last three matches and currently sits at number 11 on the Premier League table. In addition to all this, players like Antony and Mason Greenwood are tied up in controversies. Though the club let go of Greenwood earlier this season, Antony is still in the squad and playing in matches.

Antony was accused of domestic violence by his girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin in May of 2023. According to her, Antony threatened to kill her and her child. The Brazilian model wants the player to be suspended. She is raising fingers at the Red Devils for still keeping him in their squad.

Though Gabriella claimed that Antony had physically abused and threatened to kill her, the United winger has denied all of the accusations. He said that he had never done anything like that and the investigation would prove his innocence. The Winger is currently suspended from Brazil’s national squad, but Gabriela wants him to be suspended from Manchester United as well.

“Antony must be taken off the pitch. It’s disappointing that he’s still allowed to play while an investigation is underway” she said.

Antony claims he is innocent, but things are not looking good for him as another woman named Ingrid Lana has come out and accused him of the same thing. “He (Antony) tried to have a relationship with me and I didn’t want to… He pushed me against the wall and I hit my head’ she said.

United issued club statement following allegations on the player

Manchester United have finally spoken on the ongoing issue with Antony. The club said that they are taking the case seriously but won’t make any further comments as the investigation is still under process.

The club issued an official statement, saying: “As a club, we are taking this matter seriously, with consideration of the impact of these allegations and subsequent reporting will have on survivors of abuse”.

Cavallin is not happy with United’s statement at all. She accused the club of covering up the issue asking why it took them three months to respond. “Why did it take United three months? It’s just not OK I prefer not to believe such a huge club, with such serious and professional people, would cover up a situation like this.”

Manchester United is already going through a rough phase and these controversies have made things harder for them. Do you think Antony is guilty? Share your opinions with us in the comments.
