Roman Reigns targets Cody Rhodes’ past in thrilling face-off on WWE RAW ahead of their match at WrestleMania 39

On yesterday night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had their final exchange of words before Roman is challenged by Junior Rhodes for the undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39.

After the 38th edition’s huge success which took place in Arlington, Texas the following one, the 39th annual WrestleMania will take place at the SoFi stadium in Inglewood, California. WWE’s annual marquee event is widely regarded as the world’s biggest and most-watched pay-per-view wrestling event. The highly anticipated event starting from April 1 is titled as “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood” this year.

What did Roman Reigns say to Cody Rhodes in Monday Night Raw?

The extended reign of The Tribal Chief in the WWE may be coming to an end, contrary to what many people believe, as it appears that The American Nightmare will challenge his supremacy as the most dominant wrestler in the organization.

Roman and Cody had a head-to-head encounter before their Hollywood run-in. Roman attempted to intimidate Cody with his typical persuasive manner.

“You didn’t wanna do the Stardust thing so you ran away. You started a company and you couldn’t get over in it. So you ran away!” said Roman.

In response to the brutal comments, Rhodes wasn’t afraid to backlash at The Tribal Chief as he reasserted his confidence that he could end Reigns’ incredible unbeaten run.

“You’re gonna be a man without a family [after WrestleMania 39],” Rhodes fired back. “A Roman with no more reigns, a Chief without a tribe.”

Roman Reigns’ opponent Cody Rhodes Return

The WWE Hall-of Famer Dusty Rhodes’s son was released by WWE in May 2016, and he spent the next six years polishing his skills at AEW and becoming the high-flying superstar he is today. Eyeing on the undisputed WWE universal champion title The American nightmare has already 33-0 under his streak since his return to WWE.

After being sidelined for more than six months due to an injury, Rhodes returned to the ring on January 28 to take part in the Royal Rumble. Afterwards, it was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment that Cody, the reigning Royal Rumble champion will be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the glory.

“I’ve made a great career out of proving people wrong. I’ve kind of taken the attitude about proving people right. Especially this new audience with WWE that has warmly welcomed me back. A whole new audience that kind of pairs well with the independent audience.” Rhodes said.

Now, the current fans’ favorite looks ahead to the 39th Edition of WrestleMania and a battle with the Chief who never loses, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Do you believe The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes will be able to put an end to Roman Reigns’ reign and become the new undisputed WWE universal champion?
