Tyson Fury keeps fans guessing with teaser for next “absolutely monstrous” fight announcement

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has given a big hint about his return to the boxing ring on social media. The Gypsy King announced on Twitter while working out in the gym that an imminent date for a massive fight is coming against a superstar rather soon.

“I have got some massive, massive news coming. An imminent fight date, an monstrous fight. Keep tuned cause the WBC heavyweight king is back in action.”

Earlier this month rumors were floating around that Tyson Fury will take on former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a boxing match or a special rules fight later this year. However, those talks have cooled down. And judging by Tyson’s video, it seems that The Gypsy King is already back to work and is preparing to defend his WBC title.

Fans will be somewhat excited to hear this news from Fury after his highly anticipated super showdown against Oleksandr Usyk didn’t materialise in March. Both the heavyweights were blaming each other for not making the fight happen which left the fans disappointed.

Currently, both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are undefeated and it would probably be an amazing clash as the winner would be crowned as the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Who is Tyson Fury’s mystery opponent?

There aren’t many heavyweights in the world that would make it exciting in a boxing ring against Tyson Fury. Oleksandr Usyk is one heavyweight that many fans want to see go against The Gypsy King. However, due to internal issues between the two parties, it seems that this match-up will not take place anytime soon.

Moreover, with the Ukrainian unified heavyweight champion not sharing any updates regarding his return, chances are that Fury’s WBC title will be at stake. The timing of Tyson’s video about his return after Chinese heavyweight Zhilei Zhang won the interim WBC title fight against Joe Joyce makes sense.

However, fans will probably not be very happy if this fight is booked as the 39-year-old interim heavyweight champion is not in his prime and the likelihood of Tyson Fury making it an easy fight is very high. Do let us know in the comments section who you think could be Fury’s next opponent.
