The arrest of Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer-turned-internet celebrity, has led several of his victims to come forward and willingly share their experiences based on which they started to suspect him. Former playboy model Carla Howe revealed that she was also on the verge of falling into Tate’s trap but was able to escape just in time.
The king of toxic masculinity has been living in Romania for the past five years and has been under Romanian authorities’ observation since April of last year because of his negative online activity. Last Thursday, Romanian officials arrested Tate and his brother Tristan as part of an investigation into human trafficking and rape.

Tate gained fame as a result of his misogynistic and offensive remarks. He was barred from using different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok, but following Elon Musk’s takeover, he has been able to use Twitter again. However, he was in communication with Carla Howe for about a year prior to being banned from Instagram.
Howe recently told The Daily Mail that she could have been Tate’s prey and that she believes Tate used similar tactics with her as he did with others who were his victims. The 32-year-old model explained how Tate invited her to Romania and why she was almost tempted to join him.
“He wanted me to go to Romania and I was tempted. It makes me think now how it could have gone terribly. I’d probably have ended up not leaving the house ever,” Howe told friends.

The English model also revealed that she was planning a trip to Romania with one of her friends, but due to Tate’s suspension on Instagram, they lost contact. She shivers thinking about how horrible it could have been now that she recalls all of the communications she and Top G had.
“I had a lucky escape. I thought I would give him a chance and was tempted to have a relationship with him. Maybe God saved me from that happening. Things could have turned out very differently if I had gone – I hate to think.” Howe added.
Carla has also cautioned the new models to not put all their reliance on any famous internet personality. She was also praised on social media for her bravery in sharing everything.
“A lot of people think that as he is famous he wouldn’t do anything bad but we’re in a new day and age. Just because of who he is doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of other things. I had so many people contacting me after he was arrested. I was like ‘Oh my God – it gets worse.’”

For at least 30 days, Tate and his brother will be held in police custody. However, during the police operation, no women were seen inside the compound where it was believed that the Tate residence was being used to produce pornographic material.
