Valorant Champions Tour 2024: Bilibili Gaming bolster roster with B3Ar, Dragon Ranger announce TZH signing

Shanghai is set to host the second Masters tournament of the 2024 Valorant Champions Tour season as Riot Games introduces adjustments to enhance the design and scope of Valorant esports events. Starting on February 22nd, 2024, these changes aim to foster global expansion, offering new opportunities for players and spectators.

China’s inclusion as the fourth official VCT league, following the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific, signifies Valorant’s commitment to broadening competition in new regions. As a result, numerous player transfers are underway across teams, gearing up for the highly anticipated 2024 tournament.

Bilibili sign B3Ar to Valorant Champions Tour roster

Bilibili Gaming has finalized the acquisition of Yang “B3Ar” Zhanxiong from Shenzhen NTER, solidifying his role as the new Controller and IGL. B3Ar’s official integration was confirmed during the team’s recent training session. Speculation about Li “rin” Lewei’s departure has arisen due to his absence, leaving the CN VALORANT community intrigued.

B3Ar joins Bilibili Gaming after two seasons with Shenzhen NTER, where the team, despite showing promise in 2022, struggled to break into China’s elite in the subsequent season. The move also relieves Liu “Knight” Yuxiang of his IGL duties, with B3Ar transitioning from an Initiator to a Controller, a role previously held by rin and occasionally by Viper player Wang “yosemite” Lei.

Here is the new Bilibili gaming roster:

  • Li “rin” Lewei
  • Wang “whz” Haozhe
  • Zhong “Biank” Jianfei
  • Liu “Knight” Yuxiang
  • Wang “yosemite” Lei
  • Yang “B3Ar” Zhanxiong
  • Lu “Levius” Yinzhong (Substitute)

Dragon Ranger announce TZH signing

Dragon Ranger Gaming (DRG) has officially inked a deal with former FunPlus Phoenix player Tang “TZH” Zhehao for the debut VCT CN season. The 24-year-old controller’s transfer, circulating on Weibo in recent days, becomes the first significant player movement in the top-tier VCT CN scene. Expect more transfers in the coming days as teams finalize their lineups for the Shanghai league.

On Weibo, TZH expressed optimism for this new chapter, stating, “Though the path of this new chapter is unknown, I believe I will only get better with each passing year. Let’s go, DRG!”

TZH gained international exposure with FunPlus Phoenix during the 2023 season, competing in São Paulo for VCT LOCK//IN and Los Angeles for VALORANT Champions. DRG, securing their VCT CN League spot via the Ascension route, faces new roster challenges with the reduction of maximum import players from two to one.

New Dragon Ranger Gaming Roster:

  • Shao “Nicc” Yi-qun
  • Chen “TvirusLuke” Ching
  • Ilya “vo0kashu” Ushakov
  • He “YuChEn” Cai
  • Wei “Dingwei” Ding-wei
  • Yu “Zeno” Zhi Jun
  • Tang “TZH” Zhehao
  • Huang “LT” Biaohong (Coach)

These new inclusions in both the teams promises a new competition and future for the game ahead which can change the whole scene.
