“Yeah, I’m not buying it” Dana White weighs in on Jake Paul-Floyd Mayweather altercation

Was the confrontation that took place earlier this week between Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather merely a farce, or was it more of a case of each individual issuing a challenge to the other for a fight? There are a lot of various angles from which to look at what happened, but Dana White is very clear about where he stands.

Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather were both present at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida on Wednesday evening to watch a basketball game between the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the two boxers were spotted together after the game.

What happened between Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather?

Following the conclusion of the game, The Problem Child was observed having a conversation with “Money” or was pushed to have an encounter with Floyd as it was Floyd who went to Jake with the rest of his team.

According to a member of Floyd’s team, this wasn’t about grabbing a hat rather this was about Jake crossing the line and his comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behavior.

What was Dana White’s reaction to the altercation?

During an interview with TMZ Sports, UFC President Dana White was asked about the altercation between Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul.

Dana, who is simply the right person to interpret what is going on between two fighters by watching what they are doing, does not believe it was anything more than a stunt.

“I just can’t see Floyd doing that. I can’t see Floyd rolling up on somebody and doing that. It’s not Floyd’s style. It’s not really his personality. I thought it was a skit.” said White.

“I’m not buying it. When’s the last time you saw Floyd Mayweather act like a thug and roll up on somebody with 50 people? That’s just not what Floyd does. Yeah, I’m not buying it.” Dana further added.

Jake responded to the event on his social media platforms, however, Pretty Boy after Wednesday did not say anything about the reasons behind him charging after the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

“You wanna run it one on one, no problem. But I’m not dumb. Okay? I’m tough, I don’t need to prove my toughness., but I’m not f*cking dumb. I’m not gonna sit there and try to fight 50 dudes.“ Jake said.

Do you believe that the altercation that took place between Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul was only a charade, or do you believe that it was a callout for a fight?
