15 years after raking up $500 earnings, Mike Tyson narrowly missed out on $13 million Hollywood flick adaptation

There is hardly a single soul in this world that has not heard the name of Mike Tyson. The name itself was enough to strike fear into the hearts of any opponent who would be facing him in the ring. Coached under Cus D’Amato, “Iron Mike” was a sheer weapon of destruction when inside the ring.

Even though he is retired now, he still has the remnants of intimidation from his boxing days. Tyson was known for his signature “Peekaboo” style of boxing with fast footwork, immaculate bobbing and weaving, and punches that were beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Even after retiring, he often appears in podcasts and has a podcast of his own as well, known as ‘Hotboxin’.

Jericho later revealed his plans about wanting to make a cinematic street fight happen between himself and Tyson in the streets of New York. He even said that the fight would have taken place in an alleyway, like an alley-fight. The negotiations were going well too but the idea never came to fruition.

Chris even cited the name of a famous film of John Carpenter which is centered around Roddy Piper who is able to see shapeshifting aliens. “The Ocho” said, “Think ‘They Live’ with Tyson and Jericho, that’s what I had in mind”. It surely would have been a fantastic fight if it actually happened.

Mike Tyson actively training Francis Ngannou for Tyson Fury fight

Francis Ngannou is known to have a punching power that is equivalent to 96 horsepower and feels like “getting hit by a Ford Escort going as fast as it can”, as said by Dana White, the president of UFC. Tyson Fury on the other hand is considered a prodigy in the scenario of boxing and has more or less mowed through the ranks since his debut.

Even though it is yet to be officially announced, it is certain that a fight between these two absolute monsters is underway. Ngannou originally trains in MMA but after the discussions of the Tyson Fury fight came into the limelight, “Iron Mike” has taken Francis under his wing and started training him for this fight.

The majority had speculated that this fight is not going to be in the favor of Ngannou since he has never had professional boxing experience before. Mike however thinks otherwise. He has publicly said that “It’s not going to be as one-sided as people think it is”.
