The period during which Roman Reigns held the WWE Universal Championship has been immensely thrilling. Nonetheless, following Triple H’s announcement on the most recent episode of SmackDown regarding the upcoming WWE Draft.
It appears to be time to divide The Tribal Chief’s world titles.
At present, Roman possesses the merged WWE Universal Championship. Which he obtained during his second championship win at WrestleMania 38.
The Tribal Chief acquired the Universal Title in 2020. And has now accumulated over 940 days during his reign as the champion.
With the WWE Draft looming, there is a possibility that the WWE may opt to assign individual titles to each brand. Fans were quick to speculate about this as soon as the draft was announced. And if that turns out to be the case, then a new WWE Champion would need to be crowned.
It appears to be quite apparent who could fill that role with Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and The Bloodline all caught up in a feud. The perfect superstar to receive a title and ascend to greater heights is none other than Seth Rollins.
Seth has been without a top-tier championship for quite a while now. Despite this, he has crafted an impressive persona and gained a lot of momentum lately.
While it’s reasonable for WWE to avoid having The Visionary defeat Reigns at present. Splitting the titles would provide Rollins with an ideal opportunity to become a champion.

WWE has done a commendable job of constructing Reigns’ character. But they have become overly reliant on him and require an alternative superstar to step up in case he is unavailable.
If Seth Rollins were to become the new champion, he would have the opportunity to engage in feuds with various stars. Such as Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and others.
By doing so, he could not only elevate his own status but also raise the profiles of these stars who may have been overlooked in the shadow of Reigns.
